Drawing from objects

For this session, the artist João Ferro Martins proposes an elaboration exercise based on a set of small sculptures. Born from a discussion regarding what the notion of drawing can be, aside from the bidimensionality of classic models, they intend to trigger a mental process that will result in a physical combination of several elements in the construction of an abstract image, which should step away from the symbolism and narrative of the objects used.

Totally Together is a solo project of Roman Wróblewski, which collects together all his previous ideas and musical fantasies. Totality involves becoming indifferent to any inspiration and looking for fulfillment in a wide field of electronics.

The intervention of Ricardo Jacinto was a display of the movie RUNNING on 7 July at 19:00, in the White Room.

Sounds and images of people, animals, inner places and underwater locations, beautiful technological devices, ancient rituals and contemporary sports articulate themselves in building a changing landscape.

The position of the choreographer delineates and organizes a hierarchal system. The position implies an authoritative relationship based on observation. The discipline of dance establishes this situation by giving the person who observes absolute, directive power.

For three days, from the opening to closing hours of Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa, the US artist Todd McQuade will build structural environments and enact performances that address the qualities of belonging within the space of the Palácio Pombal.Using materials and resources that are available, either found, donated, imagined or purchased, the artist construct
