For a month, Valter Ventura exhibits a series of black and white photographs taken on a 870 km solitary journey.

BIOGRAPHY

Lisboa, 1979. Degree in Art History at Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, where he currently studies for his doctoral degree. In 2005, he finished, as a Banco Espírito Santo scholaship student, his Advanced Photography Course at Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual. Until 2012, he exclusively work in partnership with José Nuno Lamas, with who he regularly exhibited since 2005. This project participated in the second Photography Course of Calouste Gulbenkian's Creativity and Art Studies Program, in MobileHome - Contemporary Art Experimental Course and in Plat(t)form 10 from the Winterthur Fotomuseum (Switzerland). They are represented at the Azeredo Perdigão Modern Art Centre collections and at PMLJ Foundation. He is a teacher at the Photography Higher Course of Tomar Polytechnic Institute, collaborating also with Ar.Co and the Lisbon's Atelier. He's currently doing an artistic residence at Carpe Diem Art and Research.
