João Ferro Martins e Ana Santos

João Ferro Martins and Ana Santos cross their practices in what they consider the zone of encounter between both. Where each one is a bit like the other, here gestures can be diluted in the choreography of thinking and doing. Between sculpture and installation, in the shadow of the pictorial gesture and the matrix line of drawing; they predispose themselves toplay boundaries of their individual productions seem to fadeaway and aim to present works that could be more or less harmonious symbiosis, or visual blocks that can also be seen as forced overlays. Each of the ways, they aspire a siamese construction where one could wish that these objects, from both creators, could never be apart.

BIOGRAPHY
João Ferro Martins (1979). Completed Visual Arts Studies at ESAD Caldas da Rainha where he begins is work in painting, drawing and photography. Lives in Lisbon since 2003 where is work achieves tridimensional and sonorous dimension. He also develops several actions with the use of music, performance and video. Ana Santos (1982) lives and works in Lisbon. She made her studies at Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto and a Master in Contemporary Culture and new Technologies at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Made the Individual Ar.Co project and the Visual Art course in the program Criatividade e Criação Artística from Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
