In the previous decade, the work of Pedro Tudela has branched out into many different areas of artistic production. He has come to be considered one of the leading names of installation art as well as techno music in Portugal. For the exhibition at Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa, Tudela presents a sound installation that takes part in the memory of the space. According to the artist, “the houses, the spaces with history emanate data to combine memories. In turn, the memories gather stories, taking unto themselves and appropriating all of that which went in association with time. The condition of interruption allows revisions of knowledge, resolved by memory. The piece... that emerges of some unknown place, makes itself of the memories of the house, the memories of who and what passed there.”
